Belgorodenergo: the number of serviced lighting fixtures increased to 195 thousand

The number of lighting points serviced by IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division increased to 195,125 pieces. Last year, 4,725 new lighting fixtures appeared in the region. Among the main reasons for the increase is the construction and reconstruction of buildings and structures with the improvement of the adjacent territory and the infrastructure development of the road network of the region.

According to municipal contracts for maintenance of outdoor lighting facilities, the municipalities of the region have more than 181 thousand lighting fixtures, more than 14 thousand are installed along public roads. To ensure the safe and efficient operation of outdoor lighting networks, the branch last year replaced 5,972 lighting fixtures and more than 18,000 lamps.

Timely switching on and off of outdoor lighting in the Belgorod region is carried out in accordance with the Unified schedule of outdoor lighting operation, approved by Resolution of the Government of the Belgorod region on 14 February 2011 No. 54-pp 'On the organization of outdoor lighting of settlements in the Belgorod region' in the edition of 16.03.2015 No. 89-pp.

In accordance with the same document, the branch conducts an annual check of networks, regulating remote and automatic control, eliminating damages, restoring the operability of networks, lighting fixtures, lamps, and, finally, by means of special equipment remotely controls lighting modes of more than 110,000 lighting points throughout the region.

For the central streets, squares, roads, ring interchanges, bridges, the territory of enterprises and organizations, elements of the city infrastructure, a general mode of outdoor lighting is provided - during the entire dark time of the day. In some cases, with a low intensity of movement of pedestrians and vehicles, partial switching-off of fixtures is allowed. In all other cases, lighting fixtures work with the onset of evening twilight and until 11:35 pm, and then from 06:00 am until dawn. The lighting mode of outdoor lighting can be changed by the decision of the administration of the municipality.

Elimination of malfunctions of lighting of lighting fixtures, replacement of lamps, installation of additional lighting points is performed by the power engineers in accordance with the schedules compiled and approved by the administrations of municipalities, taking into account requests of consumers.
