First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, Alexander Pilyugin held a working meeting with representatives of the technical unit management and chief engineers of branches of the companies. The participants of the event discussed the results of the implementation of innovative development programs in the first half of 2017 and determined the priority tasks in this area for the near future.

As Alexander Pilyugin noted, opening the meeting, the companies' performance indicators and targets in the innovative component in investment projects are generally fulfilled. This includes, among other things, the planning and application of innovative equipment, materials and technologies by the branches of the companies from the roster of innovative solutions of the Rosseti Group of Companies. However, there is still considerable potential for its increase. First and foremost, it is about all subdivisions of the branches themselves would initiate the search, development and implementation of new innovative solutions.

In addition, it is necessary to pay more attention to the study of the practical application of technologies and solutions offered by developers in the regions. 'You do not need to limit yourselves to applying innovative solutions within the requirements set by the coefficients. The possibility of introducing innovations should be considered in each project. After all, in the end, this depends on the efficiency of the work to ensure reliable operation of the power grid complex and high-quality power supply to consumers,' stressed Alexander Pilyugin.

As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions were made regarding the innovative plans of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region for the near future. In particular, the chief engineers of the branches of both companies, together with Deputy Chief Engineer for Technological Development and Innovation, were instructed to prepare and consider prospective R&D topics proposed by other organizations for possible inclusion in R&D programs of 2018-2020: this issue will be discussed at the joint Technical Council of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. It will also consider the possibility of ensuring priority consideration of innovative solutions in all projects of the investment program for 2018 and subsequent years.
