MRSK Tsentra : In 2017 Kurskenergo’s experts to clear 850 hectares of ROWs along power lines from vegetation to prevent failures

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continues to implement the measures of the initial stage of the repair program in 2017. Extensive repairs at electric grid facilities will begin in April, at the present time the power company is clearing ROWs along power lines.

At the beginning of February crews of Distribution Zones of Kurskenergo cleared 17.7 hectares of ROWs along 0.4 - 35 kV lines. In total under the repair program in 2017 experts of the branch will clear 850 hectares of ROWs. More than 19 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

Clearing ROWs along power line is an important part of the preparation of the power company for autumn-winter peak loads. It is performed to prevent possible technological disturbances caused by falling trees and shrubs onto wires.
