MRSK Tsentra : In 2017 Kurskenergo to spend about three million rubles on environmental protection measures

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continues implementing the environmental program, which includes a set of special measures to reduce the negative impact on the environment. In 2017, announced in Russia as the Year of Ecology, the branch plans to implement more than 12 environmental protection measures in all production units.

Much attention is paid to ensuring an environmentally balanced development of the electric power industry. To this end, Kurskenergo will implement a set of technical measures: repair of oil receivers of transformers and drainage devices, replacement of oil circuit breakers with vacuum ones, construction of power lines using self-supporting insulated wires that can protect birds and reduce the risk of emergency outages with their participation.

The issue of handling waste products of production and consumption is under special control of power engineers. Kurskenergo concluded contracts with specialized organizations for the transfer of waste. For their temporary accumulation in accordance with the existing environmental legislation, special areas are set up. Work continues on monitoring the amount of pollutants at stationary sources of emissions and in the sanitary protection zones of production sites.

The activities aimed at protecting the animal world in the implementation of production activities are also important. By the end of this year, Kurskenergo's specialists plan to install 400 sets of bird protection devices on power lines.

In total, 2.8 million rubles will be allocated to implement Kurskenergo's environmental program in 2017.
