IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division during the implementation of the repair program in 2017 pays much attention to clearing ROWs of overhead power lines (power lines) from tree and shrub vegetation.

The work is carried out to minimize the risk of technological disturbances caused by the fall of trees and twigs onto wires of overhead lines to improve the reliability of electricity supply to consumers. During the year, the power company will clear 469 hectares of ROWs along security zones of 331 overhead power lines from shrub and tree saplings. 12.6 million rubles will be used for these purposes.

The most significant scope of work is planned in the service area of Tambovsky, Morshansky, Michurinsky, Kirsanovsky, Northern Distribution Zones, where forests occupy large areas. At carrying out the work the power engineers will use modern highly effective special equipment, in particular - mulchers intended for crushing wood, stumps and bushes on a root. The use of mechanisms and technologies of a new generation makes it possible to clear ROWs in a short time, without damage to the environment and the risk of occurrence of fire hazards in forest areas.
