Among the main activities carried out are the performance in the framework of industrial environmental monitoring instrumentation measuring of the level of contaminating substances in wastewater and at stationary sources of polluting emissions, measurements of noise and electromagnetic fields were carried out in sanitary protection zones of 90 distribution substations. All the measurements did not identify the excess of maximum permissible values. In addition, the proportion of vehicles run on fuel with a higher environmental class Euro-3 and above increased to 67%.

The branch 'Belgorodenergo' pays much attention to the treatment of industrial and consumer waste. Work on the equipment of waste storage sites continued in 2016 - special containers for storage of spent mercury lamps and oiled waste were installed.
