MRSK Tsentra : Lipetskenergo held a meeting of the Governing Board with chiefs of Distribution Zones

A meeting of the Governing Board took place in IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division, the main topic of which was the discussion of results of the operation of Distribution Zones in 2016 and the main tasks for 2017.

The working meeting was chaired by Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division director Alexander Glebov, and was attended by deputy directors of the branch in the lines of activity and chiefs of 18 Distribution Zones.

At the meeting of the Governing Board the topical issues of production activity were considered in detail, so the chief engineer of the branch emphasized the importance of constantly reducing the failure rates and increasing the efficiency of the repair program development of Distribution Zones, Deputy Director for Capital Construction drew attention to the interaction of the capital construction office and the Distribution Zones for the implementation of facilities of the branch under the Investment Program, Deputy Director for Economy and Finance summed up the fulfillment of the limits of repair and maintenance costs of the Distribution Zones in 2016.

The main topic of the meeting was results of a comprehensive assessment of the chiefs of the Distribution Zones on the results of activities for 2016. This kind of 'benchmarking' has been carried out in Lipetskenergo since 2011, 18 indicators are used for evaluation in the main areas of activity. Leaders following the results of 2016 were Lebedyansky, Izmalkovsky and Volovsky Distribution Zones.

It should be noted that the methodology of integrated assessment is constantly being improved, and since 2016, on the initiative of the chief engineer of the branch, an indicator has been added based on the results of workplace inspections, which reflects ongoing work to prevent injuries and adhere to production discipline.

In their reports the chiefs of the Distribution Zones talked in detail on those indicators and areas of activity that in 2016 did not reach the target values ​​and require special attention this year.

Another issue discussed at the meeting was the analysis of fulfillment of the planned indicators of 2017 on operating forecast data. In his speech, Deputy Director for Sale and Development of Services Alexander Kosolapov summed up the preliminary results of performance indicators for the 1st quarter of 2017 for losses in the distribution grid of 10-0.4 kV, grid connections, provision of value-added services and work with complaints for each Distribution Zone and drew particular attention to the importance of implementing the indicator of power losses. The indicator 'Loss of electric energy' is currently a priority and its weight in the integrated assessment of a Distribution Zone is 50%.

The topic of reducing electricity losses in his report was also raised by Deputy Director for Security - head of the security department, highlighting the results of the work done to identify the theft of electricity.

'It is important to note that the practice of such joint meetings makes it possible to involve the chiefs of the Distribution Zones in the process of developing and making managerial decisions aimed at fulfilling production tasks and achieving targets for the branch. And the conducted benchmarking of Distribution Zones provides for an opportunity to see the changes of work, identify leaders and laggards, create a competitive spirit and identify opportunities for improvement,' stressed in his closing speech Lipetskenergo's director Alexander Glebov.
