IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division approved its repair program for 2017. In the difficult macroeconomic situation the company managed not only to preserve but also to increase compared to last year the scope of its financing. At carrying out of repair work at regional electric grid facilities it is planned to allocate 98.3 million rubles - 18.1 million more than in 2016. Most of the funds will be aimed at ensuring the reliability of power supply to consumers of the Orel region.

Pursuant to the program it is scheduled to overhaul three substations of 35-110 kV, feeding consumers of Trosnyansky, Dolzhansky and Mtsensky districts, and more than 950 km of overhead lines of 0.4-110 kV. Componentwise overhaul and current repair of equipment will be carried out at other 82 substations of 35-110 kV. During the year 76 transformer substations and 109 transformers of 10/0.4 kV will also be repaired.

To reduce the risk of technological failures caused by falling trees onto power lines, 666.2 hectares of ROWs along 0.4-110 kV overhead lines will be cleared from overgrown shrubs and trees.

'In the formation of the repair program we considered the failure rate in the past periods, as well as the results of the 2016 diagnostics of equipment and inspections of electrical installations. In addition, it includes the most vulnerable sections of the grid, which were identified during liquidation of the consequences of bad weather in July last year. Maintaining them in good technical condition is one of the priorities of the document,' stressed Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division Igor Kolubanov.
