Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division together with representatives of EMERCOM of Russia in the Orel region held a lesson on electrical safety in the children's recreation camp 'Dream'. The event was organized in the framework of the implemented by the utility in conjunction with the agency project 'Safety Days', whose goal is to prevent children's electric injuries.

Experts of Orelenergo told children about the basic rules of electrical safety, explained why games near power lines and transformer substations are dangerous, demonstrated and explained the importance of warning signs, which are installed at power facilities.

The children watched cartoons about what is dangerous about non-compliance with the rules of electrical safety and got relevant memos. To make participants of the lesson better understand the work of electricians, Orelenergo's experts showed them their equipment: helmets, protective suits, insulating gloves and boots, and allowed to try it all on. Then the children had a ride in the off-road vehicle TRECOL, with which Orelenergo's employees inspect power lines in remote areas.

Representatives of units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations - employees of state inspection of small vessels, dog handlers and firefighters - told the participants of lessons on what safety measures to be taken in a variety of emergency situations related to their fields of activity.

Representatives of Orelenergo and the regional office of EMERCOM of Russia conduct joint safety classes in children's leisure facilities regularly. Next 'Safety Day' will be held on 2 August in the children's health camp 'Breeze'.
