MRSK Tsentra PAO : IDGC of Centre continues to improve reliability of power supply of the capital of the Black Soil Region

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division has started reconstructing 110 kV substation №2 in Central district of the city of Voronezh. Work is carried out in the framework of implementation of the investment program of the branch.

Substation №2 supplies electricity to a number of socially significant enterprises and the housing sector, as well as a complex of office buildings of the Government of the Voronezh region and the Administration of the capital of the Black Soil Region. The need for its modernization is due to implementation in the central part of the city of large-scale projects for construction of administrative and commercial buildings, housing construction with the increase in the number of storeys of building sites. In this regard, there is a growing need for new power capacity.

The substation reconstruction is designed to solve this problem. After completion the power facility capacity will be increased by more than 2.5 times - up to 126 MVA. For this purpose, in particular, specialists of the Voronezhenergo branch will replace power transformers at the power facility. The modernization will also significantly improve the reliability of power supply of the city centre. Completion is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2016.

Please, be reminded that in total as part of the investment program specialists of the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre are planning in 2016 to reconstruct more than 168 km of power lines of different voltage classes, 15 substations of 110 kV, as well as to construct more than 80 transformer substations of 6-10 kV with total capacity of more than 14 MVA. More than 1.1 billion rubles will be spent to implement these projects.
