IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division from 1 July at the request of local authorities began work to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to areas previously not part of the company's operating zone. We are talking about settlements of Semiluksky district of the Voronezh region with a population of 53 thousand inhabitants: the district centre, the town of Semiluki, the villages of Semiluki, Devitsa, Novosilskoye, Zemlyansk, Latnoye and workers' settlements of Strelitsa and Latnaya.

Previously, power transmission services to customers in these areas were provided by LLC 'Electrical Office', but in the early summer of 2016 the organization was not able to continue the operation of municipal electrical networks. The Semiluki district administration appealed to IDGC of Centre with a request to rent them. As a result Semiluksky Distribution Zone of the Voronezh branch of the company included more than 240 transformer substations and over 434 km of power lines of different voltage classes. Most of the technical and administrative staff, who previously worked in the company 'Electrical Office' were employed in Voronezhenergo, and currently undergo retraining and training for work in accordance with accepted standards of IDGC of Centre.

At present, specialists of the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre are performing a thorough inspection of the taken over power grid infrastructure, forming plans for its repair and preparation for the forthcoming autumn - winter operation period.
