Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division restored the operational capacity of a 35 kV overhead line, damaged by a third party in the Lipetsk region.

The disconnection occurred on 14 August at 09:15 a.m., near the territory of a private household located in the village of Novaya Zhizn in Lipetsky district, a plastic bottle tied with a fishing line was thrown onto one of wires of the 35 kV overhead line. The reason is not observance of the norms and rules of electrical safety by an outside person in the security zone of the power line. As the culprit explained, with the plastic bottle he tried to scare away birds (pigeons) sitting on the wires of the overhead line. The 35 kV high-voltage line provides electricity to residents of Gryazinsky and Lipetsky districts, which means that without light there were several thousand people, more than twenty villages and small villages. Specialists of Lipetskenergo immediately left for the site and conducted an extraordinary inspection of the line. The power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division, as soon as possible, eliminated the emergency situation, all necessary measures were taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Lipetsky and Gryazinsky districts. Thanks to well-coordinated work of the power engineers, the 35 kV power line was restored in 25 minutes.

The power engineers repeatedly warned about the need to comply with rules and regulations in the security zones of power lines. And they remind once again: it is forbidden to perform any actions that can disrupt the normal operation of electric grids, lead to their damage or accidents.

In the security zones of power lines it is strictly forbidden to set up fires, store fuel and lubricants, place household waste and garbage. Any violation of the rules for the use of territories in the protected zone of power lines entails a real threat to the life and health of people, as well as the safety of their property. If there is a break in power lines and other damage to power equipment, it is necessary to immediately report by telephone to the direct line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 or 13-50 (free of charge).
