Specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region completed a set of technical and organizational measures to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to polling stations on the Single Voting Day.

Elections will be held on 10 September in all 20 regions of the Russian Federation, where the companies operate. Seven regions will be fully covered by them: in the Belgorod and Yaroslavl regions (located in the area of responsibility of IDGC of Centre), the Udmurt Republic and the Mari El Republic, the Kirov and Ryazan regions (all IDGC of the Centre and Volga Region) will elect heads of the subjects, and in the Bryansk region (IDGC of Centre) will be by-election of the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. In addition, in Udmurtia elections of deputies of the State Council will be held, the regional deputies will be elected to Mari El, and also in the Tver region (IDGC of Centre). Local elections will be held in all the regions, including in three regional centres - Kursk (IDGC of Centre), Kirov and Tver - will elect city councils.

The power engineers formed a list of polling stations connected to the networks of the branches, and the scheme of their power supply was verified. In total, on the election day, specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will provide general power supply to 8,826 polling stations, of which 6,603 are connected directly to the networks of the companies, and 2,223 are connected through networks of territorial grid companies. At present, experts of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region have already completed extraordinary inspections of electrical installations, which will supply. In addition, the electric power supply schemes of socially significant facilities, as well as television and radio broadcasting centres, were checked. The technical condition and availability for the use of reserve power supply sources was checked. The communication schemes and the order of interaction with the regional departments of the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, as well as schemes for alerting and calling personnel in the event of emergency situations, were clarified. The schedule of round-the-clock watch of operational and repair personnel was drawn up on the Single Voting Day, security measures were strengthened. Additional briefings were conducted with the staff, first responding and restoration crews were strengthened.

Since 9 September, a special operating mode has been introduced in all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. To ensure the reliable functioning of the power system in all territories where the elections are held, all scheduled repairs and associated switching in existing electrical installations have been cancelled. The energy companies will be in high alert until minutes are signed at the polling stations. Reserve power supply to socially important consumers, if necessary, can be provided by backup sources of energy supply with a total capacity of 48.872 MW.
