MRSK Tsentra : The results of the work of IDGC of Centre’s Youth Gathering summed up

In the Tambov region, the two-day Youth Gathering of IDGC of Centre completed. More than 100 power engineers from 20 regions of the country took part in the event, which took place in the format of the School of Personnel Reserve: teams of IDGC of Centre's branches, made up of representatives of the company's personnel reserve, and for the first-time invited talent pool team of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (both companies are part of Rosseti Group).

This year, declared in PJSC Rosseti as the Year of Combating Electricity Losses, the gathering was held under the motto 'Young generation - for honest energy consumption!'.

On the first day the reservists participated in business trainings and team-building events. On the second day of the meeting, they prepared presentations and defended group projects. Methodical help in the preparation of presentations for young energy specialists was provided by professional business coaches, including during business trainings for working out public speaking skills.

The initial task was the same for all: on the example of the actual situation in Belsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division to develop a set of measures to quickly reduce power losses, protect commercial metering devices, resolve differences with the supplier of last resort and disagreements in the grid connection implementation. However, when working on it, the teams offered a wide variety of sometimes non-standard solutions. Their importance for further practical work was highly appreciated by the expert jury with the participation of representatives of the management of Rosseti and IDGC of Centre.

As Chief Advisor of Rosseti Svetlana Zholnerchik noted, some of the proposals received from young energy specialists in the course of project defending will be included in the Standard for Losses of Electric Power, developed by Rosseti. 'I think that about 20% of the ideas out of the total number heard in the reports were innovative. It is especially important that the participants of the meeting offered measures to reduce energy losses not only with the investment component, but also organizational ones, which do not require additional financial costs. They will be included in the Standard and implemented in the first place,' stressed Svetlana Zholnerchik.

Evgenia Kabanova, Deputy General Director for Sale and Development of Services of IDGC of Centre, thanked the young power engineers for their fruitful work, adding that the chosen format of the gathering proved effective from the point of view of working out proposals for solving specific practical problems. 'The format of the solution of the proposed energy case based on the example of the real operating Distribution Zone will be also used in other events with the participation of representatives of the services sale unit,' said Evgenia Kabanova.

Participants of the meeting, commenting on its results, noted the importance and usefulness of the event for replenishing professional knowledge and skills.

'The gathering gave me an opportunity to assess my potential, look at the current problems of the industry from different points of view and try to find ways to solve them. It is especially gratifying that the management positively assessed the technical ideas of our branch,' Roman Khorokhonov, an engineer of the department for development and delivery of technical conditions of Bryanskenergo, shared his impressions.
