IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division held the ceremony of awarding winners and prize-winners of the 1st stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of PJSC Rosseti. Among the best there were six schoolchildren from Kostroma and the Kostroma region.

The Olympiad is organized by Rosseti Group as a pilot project to identify and develop gifted students capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking; to increase the motivation of schoolchildren for training in educational organizations on energy-related programs and, ultimately, to attract professionally oriented, motivated young people to work in the industry.

The awarding ceremony was attended by Acting Deputy General Director - Kostromaenergo division director Evgeny Smirnov, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Kostroma Region Olga Khasanova, Director of the Centre for Gifted Schoolchildren Natalia Stepanova, Director of the Kostroma Energy Technical School, on the site of which the event took place, Tatiana Andrianovna.

Evgeny Smirnov, addressing with a welcome word to the schoolchildren, congratulated the children and wished them successes in the next stage, not to stop at what has been achieved, and, perhaps, to connect their future life with the demanded profession of the power engineer. The head of the HR department of Kostromaenergo, Nadezhda Muravyeva, thanked the leaders of the educational institutions participating in the regional stage of the Olympiad for effective cooperation and support of Rosseti's initiative.

Winners of the regional stage were awarded diplomas and gifts. The first place among schoolchildren of the 9th grade was taken by Ekaterina Antonenko, gaining 206 points. Among schoolchildren of the 10th grade, Daniil Kornilov won, who received 142 points. Diplomas were also awarded to prize-winners of the Olympiad, who took the second and third places.

After the rewarding they organized a tour to the Grid Control Centre and the Museum of History of the Kostroma Energy for the schoolchildren.

In May, the results of the II stage of the Olympiad will be summarized, and the main award for winners will be participation in a thematic energy shift in one of the camps on the sea coast.
