The Young Specialist Day was held for the first time in IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division, which 60 newly recruited employees of Distribution Zones took part in. The event was organized to acquaint them with the history and traditions of the enterprise, to talk about the significant role it plays in the social and economic development of the region, the public life and the youth policy of IDGC of Centre.

The acquaintance began in the Museum of Kurskenergo, where young energy specialists were told about the history of the regional energy system - from the appearance of the first power station to our days. In the Grid Control Centre of the branch they saw how the power grid complex is operated around the clock.

Then, with cheering words, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky spoke to them. 'You came to work for an enterprise with a rich history and labour traditions. We need your knowledge, energy, drive, initiative. Honest and conscientious work here can achieve a lot. And we will help you in this,' stressed Alexander Rudnevsky, having handed each young specialist a work permit with a cheering word 'To preserve and increase the glory of Kurskenergo'.

The official part of the event continued with competitions. At this stage, the organizers divided all participants of the Young Specialist Day into five teams, according to the number of production sites of the branch. The first point was the 'visiting card'. Each of the teams had to come up with an interesting name, a slogan and briefly formulate their attitude to the energy of the present, the past and the future.

In another creative task, the participants in the shortest possible time had to come up with funny names for photos that depicted people who had fallen into difficult life situations.

With the sum of two competitions the winner was the team 'Such Life', which represented the central section of the relay protection, automation, measurement and metrology service. A new 'test' for the winners was the KVN game, where the team 'Such Life' competed in resourcefulness and sense of humour with the team of the executive office - 'MCP' (Most cheerful people). In the competitions 'Welcome', 'My profession sounds proud', 'Biathlon' the teams proved that the energy sector can creatively, with humour, talk about their work. For example, the guys from the team 'Such Life' making believe and at the same time in a very funny way showed sketches about how a safety specialist of a Distribution Zone checks the crew's readiness to provide first aid to the victim, completeness of the first aid kit, imitating the fainting of an unfamiliar girl, heart attack of a grandmother on the footpath ...

And 'Most cheerful people' also pleased those present with their sparkling humour. In the contest 'My profession sounds proud', where it was necessary to answer the question: 'How to get a certificate of readiness?', the team played jocular folk songs dedicated to different seasons. That was great. But in the end, the youth overcame the experience, the winner was the team 'Such Life'. It was given a cup and souvenirs.

In the final part of the Young Specialist Day program, the young energy specialists met the leadership of Kurskenergo, and were able to ask the questions of interest to the director of the branch and his deputies in the directions.

'For us it is very important that every young specialist who comes to us fully realizes himself in the production sphere and in public life. Such corporate events as the Young Specialist Day bring young workers closer, allow them to know each other better, which helps them a lot in the production process. Therefore, we plan to hold them annually,' stressed the head of the HR department Lyudmila Mokrousova.
