MTR : New Fare Saver at Sun Chui Shopping Centre in Tai Wai Offers $2 Discount

Adult Octopus holders living, working or shopping near Sun Chui Estate in Tai Wai will be able to enjoy a $2 discount on MTR fares after a new Fare Saver is put into service on Friday 28 July 2017 at Sun Chui Shopping Centre in Tai Wai. The new Fare Saver will be located on the ground floor of the shopping centre. Adult Octopus holders can simply swipe their Octopus over the Fare Saver to enjoy a $2 discount for their next train trip on the same day when boarding at Tai Wai Station to any destination within the MTR network (except the Airport Express).

Passengers are reminded that the discount will not be applied if the Octopus is next used for entry at an MTR station other than Tai Wai Station.

MTR Fare Savers aim to provide an incentive to encourage more people who are located a bit farther away from the railway to walk to the nearest MTR station to take the MTR. Including the newest Fare Saver, there will be a total of 37 Fare Savers located in different areas in Hong Kong.
