Muehlhan secures contract worth 15 million US dollars to refurbish bridge in California

Hamburg, 10/05/2017 - Muehlhan Group has signed a contract with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to restore the surface of the Helen Madere Memorial Bridge via its American subsidiary Certified Coatings Company . The 730 meter lift bridge with a moveable span length of 93 meters is better known by its historic name of Rio Vista Bridge. It is estimated that the 14.7 million-dollar project will take 30 months to complete. Project start is planned for this year.

In commissioning Certified Coatings Company with the refurbishment, Caltrans continues decades of successful cooperation with the Muehlhan Group. Successfully completed projects include the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, the new San Francisco-Oakland Bridge, the Coronado Bridge, and the development of the San Mateo Bridge widening project.
