PURCHASE, N.Y., Oct. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MVC Capital, Inc. (NYSE:MVC), a publicly traded business development company that makes private debt and equity investments, announced today that its board of directors has declared a dividend of $0.135 per share. The dividend is payable on October 30, 2015 to shareholders of record on October 26, 2015. This distribution represents the forty-second consecutive quarterly dividend paid by the Fund since implementing a dividend policy in July of 2005. The dividends issued under current management have resulted in approximately $123 million in distributions to the Fund's shareholders.
