2017 has been one of the most active, dangerous and expensive Atlantic storm seasons to date. Close to nine million people lost power on the mainland following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. For MYR Group and its subsidiaries, (crews sent from The L.E. Myers Co., Sturgeon Electric, Harlan Electric Company, E.S. Boulos and Great Southwestern Construction) it was a major test to the companies' manpower, mobile response, equipment, and expertise.
We commend our crews for their sacrifice and efforts to overcome the challenges associated with emergency storm response. Line workers throughout the company have received an incredible reception from numerous people expressing their gratefulness for helping to restore the power to their communities!
