ZURICH, Switzerland - 25 May 2016 - Myriad Group AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: MYRN) today announces a new release of Versy, its interest-based social messaging platform for content discovery and conversation. Working with five of today's most popular social influencers, the new 'King of Interests' feature within Versy lets users virtually compete with top experts in specific interest areas for the chance to be crowned the 'King' of that interest.

To celebrate this launch, users are invited to try and 'capture the crowns' of the five influencers. Users can improve their rank by accruing followers, posting about their specific interests and engaging with others. Users can follow their rise and fall in the ranks on the King of Interests leaderboard. Those who climb the ranks could win a trip to join Versy at one of the exclusive launch events being held across the U.S. in June, where participating influencers will hand over their crowns to the winners who dethrone them.

Well-known influencers joining the Versy community and taking part in the launch events include:

  • Chef James Tahhan (Interest: Food): Venezuelan television personality and official chef of Telemundo's morning show 'Un Nuevo Día'.
  • Mimi G. (Interest: Style): Award-winning trend expert recently featured on Project Runway Junior alongside Tim Gunn on Lifetime TV and named 'Best Shopping Inspiration' by InStyle Magazine.
  • Laura Sanchez (Interest: Beauty): Beauty and makeup trendsetter and contributor to Univision's 'Despierta America'.
  • Matthew Windey (Interest:Comedy): Viral video comedy star.
  • Lindsay Casinelli (Interest: Sports): Host of the weekly sports show 'República Deportiva' and co-host of 'Contacto Deportivo' on Univision.

With more than 7,500 interests to explore inside the platform, ranging from pop culture and fitness, to food and art and beyond, Versy enables users to become influencers in their own right by sharing interest-specific content and encouraging conversation with their followers and the wider Versy user community. Outside of the launch competition, users who are crowned Kings of specific interests will be featured on the interest profile page as well as given the ability to change the profile image and avatar using their own personal imagery, until another user rises through the ranks and captures the King's crown.

Myriad chief executive office, Stephen Dunford explains: 'We're using gamification to deepen engagement with our community by challenging their skills and knowledge. The King of Interests makes Versy different from other social platforms and gives users a real chance to be recognised for being passionate about their specific interests.'

Versy is currently available on Android, iOS, or on the web at versy.com.
