The end-of-April short interest represents 5.05 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.67 days for the prior reporting period.

Short interest in 678 securities on The NASDAQ Capital MarketSM totaled 717,685,991 shares at the end of the settlement date of April 30, 2015 compared with 703,542,917 shares in 677 securities for the previous reporting period. This represents 3.55 days average daily volume, compared with the previous reporting period’s figure of 4.57.

In summary, short interest in all 2,946 NASDAQ® securities totaled 8,317,544,268 shares at the April 30, 2015 settlement date, compared with 2,941 issues and 8,395,687,725 shares at the end of the previous reporting period. This is 4.87 days average daily volume, compared with an average of 4.66 days for the previous reporting period.
