Melbourne, Australia (ABN Newswire) - National Australia Bank Limited (ASX:NAB) (OTCMKTS:NABZY) Chairman, Michael Chaney, announced the appointment of David Armstrong as a non-executive director of the NAB Board effective 5 August 2014.

Mr Armstrong is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and will retire from PwC in July 2014.

Mr Chaney said Mr Armstrong's extensive experience in financial services and accounting made him a valuable addition to the NAB Board. "We are delighted David has accepted our invitation to join the Board given his significant knowledge and understanding of banking and capital markets.
