National Bank of Fujairah PSC : enhances presence in home Emirate with new branch in Fujairah Free Zone

Latest branch aims to bolster Fujairah's ongoing economic development

National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) PJSC announced the launch of its new branch in the Fujairah Free Zone, strengthening its physical network and client-servicing efforts in its home emirate. NBF's Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohamed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Vince Cook, NBF's CEO, and Sharief Habib Al Awadhi, Director General of Fujairah Free Zone Authority, inaugurated the new facility in the presence of other board members, senior bank and Free Zone personnel. With the addition of this facility, NBF's number of branches across the UAE increases to 16.

The new branch will provide the bank's full range of retail banking facilities, in addition to serving its corporate banking clients. Situated at a convenient location on the perimeter of the Free Zone, opposite the Port of Fujairah and adjacent to the highway, individuals and businesses within and outside the Free Zone and Port area will be able to access the full range of NBF's banking services. This includes NBF's Islamic products, equipment finance facilities, priority banking and Elham, NBF's specialised banking services for Emirati businesswomen. With the opening of a VLCC jetty at the Port of Fujairah, the branch will also allow the bank to play a greater role in supporting the Emirate's ongoing growth as a regional oil trading hub. The premises also devotes two floors to accommodate staff from operations department, facilitating transactions of the region.

Commenting on the launch, Sharif Mohamed Rafei, NBF's Head of Retail Banking and Fujairah region said: 'As our home Emirate, supporting the economic growth of Fujairah has always been a principal element of our business. The Free Zone hosts a number of enterprises that has driven the development of the city and with this branch, we hope to add further value to these businesses by making our services more readily accessible, while maintaining our commitment to quality.'

CEO Vince Cook said that the decision to have a physical location in Free Zone is not just a reflection of the positive growth of the bank, but to play a significant role in increasing customer touch points by being closer to customers and support in their ongoing success.

Sharief Habib Al Awadhi added: 'We are proud to further add to the range of facilities offered within the Free Zone.
