Airline selects NCR self check-in solution and support services

Tokyo, Sept. 10, 2014 - NCR Corporation, the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, today announced that Spring Airlines Japan Co., Ltd. has deployed 14 NCR self check-in solutions at four airports in Narita, Hiroshima, Takamatsu and Saga, to support its growing business. 
Spring Japan is the first foreign low-cost carrier (LCC) to enter Japan's domestic air transportation market, and they have been in service from August 1, 2014. Spring Japan is an affiliated company of China's first LCC Spring Airlines, also an NCR self check-in customer.

The NCR self check-in solutions feature a 19-inch touch screen, numerical pad to enter pin code, and a 1D/2D barcode reader integrated into a small, sleek footprint.  Spring Airlines passengers can check-in, access flight information, and scan and print boarding passes. As part of the agreement, NCR Japan will also be responsible for maintenance service.
