With more than 300 different products in a large variety of flavors, KitKat 'Made in Japan' is known the world over. Now the team behind this brand has been recognized for its creativity and innovation.

Nestlé Japan's 'Made in Japan' KitKat team has won a 2017 AdAge Creativity 50 award. Every year, the well-known marketing and advertising media outlet AdAge chooses its 50 most creative people or teams.

With innovative products and campaigns, the Nestlé Japan team has ensured that KitKat has maintained its leadership position in the Japanese market. With flavors like Matcha and Sake, KitKat not only appeals to domestic buyers but also to tourists visiting the country.

KitKat is popular for gifting in Japan because it is considered a good luck charm, for instance for students sitting exams. Products have long been sold under the 'I know my wish will come true' slogan. Nestlé Japan has met consumer demand with new and interesting flavors, as well as special products.

Premiumization has also led to increased popularity and sales, with the 'KitKat Chocolatory' boutiques offering premium products created under the supervision of famous Patissier Yasumasa Takagi. This October, a Japanese KitKat specialty store was opened in Seoul, Korea.
