Nestlé has been recognised as a global leader in tackling climate change, earning a place on Climate A List.

Nestlé is among the 9 per cent of participating companies to be awarded an A grade, in recognition of the company's work to reduce emissions and tackle climate change.

The grade was received following an independent assessment of Nestlé's climate change report. As part of our commitment to provide climate change leadership, Nestlé is one of the thousands of companies to submit a report to the for assessment.

In the recent reporting year, we surpassed our objective to reduce direct greenhouse gas emissions per tonne of product and have almost halved our emissions since 2005.

We are committed to further reducing our greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1+2) per tonne of product by 35 per cent, by 2020 (compared to 2010) in line with the Paris Agreement to keep global warming below 2 degrees Celsius.

Nestlé's inclusion on the A List comes after the company received an industry leading score of 100 in the environment and climate change dimension of the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
