In the Wprost from 29.06.2015 there was an interview with Piotr Sucharski, NEUCA SA CEO. The main issue/topic of the conversation was the current situation on the pharmacies' market in Poland, the strategy of the Company and the role NEUCA plays in the development of the entire business.

The CEO stresses the pharmaceutical sector's results show a difficult situation of independent pharmacies. At the same time, he points the dynamic growth of the pharmaceutical chains segment. Piotr Sucharski also notices the situation may soon change since the tendency to execute and enforce the law that was created to protect the independent entrepreneurs. At present, the most often broken regulation is the one regarding the prohibition of owning more than 1% of generally accessible pharmacies located in one province.

The CEO believes the rules on that market are indispensable with regards to the unique character of the services offered by the pharmacist and allowing for the execution of the state's pharmaceuticals' policy. As an example, he mentions countries as Norway, Czech Republic, Lithuania or Hungary where the negative trend of chains' growth, negative for both the state and the clients, has been inverted.
