New Jersey Resources (NYSE:NJR) today announced Amy Cradic has joined the company as vice president of Government Affairs and Policy effective immediately. In this role, she is responsible for leading NJR’s government relations operations and customer and community relations, as well as integrating social, economic, environmental and regulatory policy within the company’s strategic goals and business objectives.

Before joining NJR, Ms. Cradic served as chief of staff in the Christie administration. In that role, she was the chief operating officer for the State of New Jersey and responsible for managing the governor’s agenda, providing strategic direction for key priorities, including budgetary matters, policy and planning, communications and legislative and constituent relations, as well as working with the state legislature and members of Congress on government affairs. Prior to being named chief of staff, she served in the governor’s office as deputy chief of staff and senior policy advisor.

A veteran of state government for nearly 25 years, Ms. Cradic has worked in both Republican and Democratic administrations. Before her time in the governor’s office, she served as an assistant commissioner in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey and worked in the communications departments at the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education and the NJDEP.

Ms. Cradic received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Arts degree in mass communication from New York University. Formerly, she served as a delegate for the Center for U.S. Global Leadership, a gubernatorial appointee to the Mid-Atlantic Ocean Regional Planning Body and the Drumthwacket Foundation and as a member of the Natural Areas Council, Garden State Preservation Trust and Aquaculture Advisory Council.
