Scholarship grants free places at top conference for recent graduates working in oil and gas industries

LONDON, MAY 28th, 2015 - Oil & Money, the market-leading conference organised by the International New York Times and Energy Intelligence, is keeping applications for the Leaders for Tomorrow scholarship program open until June 15th.

The Leaders for Tomorrow scholarship provides 15 graduates who have recently entered or are about to enter the oil and gas workforce with a free place at the Oil & Money conference, which takes place in London on October 6th and 7th 2015. Selected graduates also attend the Petroleum Executive of the Year dinner along with receiving assistance with travel and accommodation.

Launched in 2013 by Christophe de Margerie, then Chairman and CEO of Total, the scholarship aims to support the next generation of leaders and executives in the oil and gas industry and has so far provided 30 conference places to ambitious graduates.

Niklas Anzinger, a scholarship recipient from 2014, said, "The scholarship provided me with the tremendously valuable opportunity to learn face-to-face from the giants of the oil and gas industry. It was also great to meet other ambitious energy professionals and discuss our visions of how we want to shape the energy landscape of tomorrow."

Mark Ireland, another 2014 scholarship winner said,"[This was] an exceptional opportunity to listen to, and meet, some of the most influential leaders in the oil and gas industry. It not only affords insights into the industry, but also broader issues around energy demand policy and the geopolitical landscape that provides the backdrop."

Applications for scholarships are invited from those who are in their final year of university with ambitions to enter the oil and gas workforce and those who have completed a first degree or masters within the last two years and are in their first job. Applications forms can be requested by emailing news@oilandmoney.net. Completed application forms should be returned together with a CV before

June 15th 2015. Applications will then be reviewed and successful candidates will be notified by July 1st.

The Oil & Money conference, now in its 36th year, is jointly hosted by the International New York Times and Energy Intelligence. This year's conference will be held in London on October 6th and 7th. The conference has a reputation of bringing together energy and finance leaders to discuss the current and emerging issues confronting the international oil and gas industry.
