NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2015 - The New York Times has announced the annual New York Times Travel Show will take place in 2016 from Friday, Jan. 8, to Sunday, Jan. 10, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Tickets are available at www.NYTimes.com/TravelShow.

The 2016 Travel Show will feature for the first time a Wellness Travel Pavilion. During the three-day event, the pavilion will host and showcase leading players in the wellness travel space, including hotels, resorts, spas and other organizations in this category.

Experiential and interactive spa and wellness-related activities will span the realm of wellness travel. To connect with wellness-minded consumers, sponsors will have the opportunity to feature discounted travel packages to leading spas and wellness destinations around the globe.

The show will also bring back popular pavilions that have helped consumers plan their year in getaways with exclusive discounts and deals for adventure and culinary travel, cruising and trips to Africa, Asia, Latin America, Mexico, Europe and the Caribbean, among other destinations representing 150 countries.

The first day of the Travel Show, Friday, Jan. 8, will host the show's Trade Day, reserved exclusively for travel industry professionals and writers.

The Trade Day will include the Travel Show's expert Focus Conferences, which will inform travel professionals of the latest industry products and services, destination information and consumer travel trends. Previous Focus Conference topics have included destination weddings and honeymoons, LGBT travel, young travel professionals and culinary travel, as well as specific regions and continents across the globe.

Saturday, Jan. 9, and Sunday, Jan. 10, will be open to all attendees and feature global cuisine tastings, cultural performances, travel book signings, one-on-one conversations with travel experts and special discounts and offers for consumers of all ages.
