NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2015 - The 2016 New York Times Travel Show invites travel industry professionals to join its Trade Day on Friday, Jan. 8, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, for its Travel Industry Conference. Travel professionals may register for the Trade Day here.

Paul Wiseman, president of Trafalgar, will deliver this year's Trade Day keynote. Mr. Wiseman's session, 'DISCover How to Unleash Your True Potential,' will be held from 12:45 to 2 p.m. and will provide insights into how to sell travel to different people.

  • 2 - 7 p.m. Exhibition Floor Open (Free for pre-approved and accredited travel professionals)

The Travel Industry Conference offers a comprehensive education program designed for travel professionals and features 21 Focus conferences across diverse travel categories. New to this year's show are: Focus on National Parks, Focus on Hawaii and Focus on Florida.

The 2016 Travel Show will feature for the first time a Wellness Travel Pavilion that will showcase leading players in the wellness travel space, including hotels, resorts and spas.

Saturday, Jan. 9, and Sunday, Jan. 10, will be open to all attendees and feature global cuisine tastings, cultural performances, seminars, travel book signings, one-on-one conversations with travel experts and special discounts and offers for consumers of all ages.

In 2015, the Travel Show welcomed 130 new exhibitors to its show floor, which featured more than 500 exhibitors from around the world. The 2015 show also saw an increase in attendance of consumers by 24 percent and of trade by 11 percent over the year prior.

More than 700 members of the media attended the 2015 Travel Show, gaining insights from the Travel Show's exclusive Trade Day seminars and Focus Conferences, as well as experiencing the two days of consumer events that featured nearly 250 travel industry speakers and experts.
