As of today, ABB Schweiz AG, Baden ("ABB") has disclosed
the preliminary interim result of its voluntary public
tender offer for all publicly held registered shares of
Newave Energy Holding SA ("Newave").
Until completion of the offer period at 30 January 2012,
04.00 pm, 1,469,630 registered shares in Newave were
tendered to ABB, representing 87.12% of all registered
shares in Newave, to which the offer relates to. In
addition, on 11 December 2011, ABB has signed individual
share purchase agreements with three shareholders of Newave
relating to a total of 1,400,101 registered shares in
Newave (which have not been consummated by the end of the
offer period yet). Therefore, including these 1,400,101
registered shares in Newave as well as 99,603 registered
shares held by Newave or its subsidiaries and according to
the preliminary interim result, ABB's participation in
Newave amounts to 95.02%.
In the publication of the final interim result, which is
expected to be published in Neue Zurcher Zeitung and Le
Temps on 3 February 2012, ABB will inform about the
acceptance of its voluntary public tender offer.
