Nexon Group launches MapleStory2 in Korea on July 7th at 7pm

TOKYO - July 7, 2015 - NEXON Co., Ltd. ("Nexon") (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online games, today announced its Korean subsidiary, NEXON Korea Corporation, will launch its in-house developed PC online game, MapleStory2, in Korea on July 7, at 7:00 pm KST.

Since MapleStory2's development was announced in 2013, the highly-anticipated title has garnered significant attention for its endearing graphics and unique features, including the concept that players create game content themselves. Many other features of the game, including its big adventure scenario and dynamic action scenes, have been revealed to users over time via the official website to ensure they meet player expectations.

Creating opportunities for users' interaction, including user events held in Korea and participation in Korea's largest game show "G-STAR", and supplemental TV and bus advertising featuring characters created by users, has helped cultivate and drive excitement for the launch of this exciting new title.

New features, such as dungeons and boss characters, will debut at today's 7:00 pm launch. Additionally, "Guild Championship" will be available to decide the No.1 Guild within the game.

"We have concentrated a great deal of effort to the development of MapleStory2, and we are delighted to launch the new title to expectant users. We look forward to having deeper communication with users through the game," said Kim Jinman, a development director of MapleStory2.

Details for the launch of MapleStory2 in Japan launch will be announced in due course.
