Nexstar Broadcasting Completes Multi-Million Dollar Buildout of State-Of-The-Art Broadcast / Digital Operations Center and High Definition News Facility in Huntsville, Alabama

WZDX-TV Expands Leading Primetime Evening Newscast and Adds Dedicated Team of Local Journalists to Deliver New Compelling Local Content On-air and Online atRocketCityNow.com

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama and IRVING, Texas (April 4, 2015) - Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST) announced today that WZDX-TV, the FOX affiliate serving the Huntsville, Alabama market (DMA #79), will launch its new locally-produced news programming broadcast live in fullhigh definition (HD) from its remodeled state-of-the-art studios beginning 9:00 p.m. tonight, Monday, April 4, 2016. WZDX-TV has also expanded its market-leading and longest running primetime evening local newscast to one full hour, airing Monday through Sunday from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. CT. In association with the station's enhanced and expanded news programming, Nexstar invested $3.3 million to renovate the WZDX-TV broadcast facility on North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, add nearly 20 news and production personnel, develop new on-air graphics and purchase new equipment and weather technology systems to complement the locally-originated newscasts.

Nexstar purchased WZDX-TV on December 1, 2014. The Company's investment to expand its Huntsville operations' local news programming, hire additional news personnel and fully upgrade all aspects of the stations' technical infrastructure highlights its organization-wide commitment to broadcasting excellence and enhanced service to local communities, viewers and advertisers.
