NH Hotel Group has once again been highly celebrated by travellers on the world's most widely-used travel website, TripAdvisor, having obtained a Certificate of Excellence 2016 for 245 of its hotels. This consolidates the group's leadership position and makes it the Spanish hotel chain with the most TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence worldwide.

In this year's edition, NH Hotel Group has managed to include 57 new hotels worldwide among the establishments most highly recommended for their hospitality excellence. These newly certified establishments join the 188 which already obtained this award in 2015. The 2016 certificates nearly double the 130 which met the popular travel platform's strict requirements in 2014.

TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence has emerged as a reliable indicator of the quality, service and experience offered to consumers by establishments. To earn one, a hotel must maintain a high rating, of at least four out of a possible five points, for 12 months in a row and have a minimum number of comments from real guests.

Since 2014, the year in which the Group embarked on its transformation plan, the improvements introduced across its hotels worldwide have driven a significant improvement in perceived quality. This popularity with guests is reflected in the number of the Company's establishments ranked among the top options by destination when users conduct a search on the TripAdvisor engine. Three out of every 10 of the Group hotels are in the top 10 (four out of ten in the case of the NH Collection establishments) and 52% rank in the top 30 (62% in the case of NH Collection).
