The Information Network of Arkansas (INA) has won a Digital Edge 50 award for transforming Arkansas government through Gov2Go, the state’s ground-breaking personal government assistant. Selected from hundreds of entries in more than 15 industries, INA is among 50 international organizations—including Accenture, FedEx, Cisco Systems, Monsanto, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Verizon—that technology media company IDG Enterprise recognized for digital transformation initiatives with significant and measurable business impact.

Gov2Go is the nation’s first digital government assistant that delivers citizen-centric government interactions. Today, more than 275,000 Arkansans have subscribed to Gov2Go to receive personalized, timely, and relevant notifications about their interactions with state government. Gov2Go learns about its users, keeps track of their deadlines—such as voter registration, property tax payments, car tag renewals and property assessment—and sends important reminders to their computers, mobile devices, and Apple watches.

“It is an honor to once again be recognized for our citizen-centric approach to delivering government services through Gov2Go,” INA Board Chair and Secretary of State Mark Martin said. “This is an innovation that is truly needed to make it easy for citizens to comply with state and local laws without having to know them. Ultimately, Gov2Go has the potential to become an indispensable part of citizens’ lives and strengthen their connection to government.”

This marks the state’s seventh award for Gov2Go since the service first launched in 2015. Other accolades include Finalist in the Government Computer News 2016 DIG IT Award competition, the NASCIO 2016 State IT Recognition Award for Emerging and Innovative Technologies, StateScoop 50 State Innovation of the Year in 2016, top eight Finalist in the American Council of Technology’s Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC) 2016 Igniting Innovation Award challenge, Center for Digital Government’s Best of the Web Winner in 2015, and Finalist in Amazon Web Services’ City on a Cloud competition in 2015.

The 50 winners will be honored onsite at the AGENDA17 conference, March 20-22, 2017, at Ponte Verdra Beach, Florida. Arkansans can receive their own personalized government notifications through Gov2Go by visiting GetGov2Go.com to sign up with an email address and download the iOS and Android mobile apps.
