Award of Distinction in the Communicator Awards Competition for the
third consecutive year and its first MobileWebAward for Best Government
Mobile Application
Rhode Island's official state web portal,
http://www.RI.gov, was recently honored
for dynamic design, receiving a Silver
Communicator Award of Distinction by the International Academy of
the Visual Arts. The Communicator
Awards program is one of the largest and most competitive awards
program in the nation for creative professionals. Judging is based on a
site conveying standards of excellence in marketing and communications.
This is the third consecutive year that RI.gov has been recognized in
the Communicator Awards
Competition.
RI.gov also won its first MobileWebAward in the Best
Government Mobile Application category. The MobileWebAwards
Competition (m.WebAwards) are produced by the Web Marketing Association
to honor excellence in mobile Websites and apps, recognize the
individuals and organizations responsible, and showcase the best in
award-winning mobile development. Judging criteria included: creativity,
design, interactivity, and use of medium, impact, content, and ease of
use. Judges are mobile web professionals with an expert understanding of
the most current mobile development, design and marketing trends.
RI.gov is the official government Web portal for the State of Rhode
