The state of West Virginia encourages citizens to renew their driver’s license online and register to be an organ donor at DMV.WV.GOV. DMV.WV.GOV offers a quick and convenient way for citizens to renew their driver’s license without the need to wait in line, reducing foot traffic at DMV locations.

For National Donor Day, West Virginia is encouraging all citizens renewing their driver’s license to register to become an organ donor. Just one organ donor can save up to eight lives. With the transplant waiting list growing every 10 minutes, the need for organ donations continues.

“With people being added to the transplant waiting list every day, we are encouraging citizens to consider giving the gift of life by becoming a registered organ donor,” said Commissioner Pat Reed.

The site allows citizens to interact with the DMV and renew their driver’s license outside of business hours.
