Nippon Express (Nederland) ("NE Nederland"; Kenichi Yoshida, President), a subsidiary of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Kenji Watanabe, President), has established European Logistics Center 3 ("ELC3"), the largest logistics warehouse run by the Nippon Express Group in Europe, in the Maasvlakte area of the Port of Rotterdam, and operations have been underway there since January 2015.

ELC3 was opened in the Maasvlakte district of the Port of Rotterdam, the first European port of call for major shipping companies operating out of Japan/Asia and home to Europe's largest container terminal. Taking advantage of its favorable location, ELC3 serves as a distribution center (DC) to deliver goods produced in Asia to destinations in the Netherlands and elsewhere in Western Europe.

ELC3 offers upgraded warehouse operations, including use of the cutting-edge Pick By Voice system (see Note) that enables hands-free picking operations by switching from handheld scanners to headsets and thereby improves efficiency, safety and visibility.

NE Nederland will be operating ELC3 in conjunction with ELC1, also located in the Maasvlakte area, to support customers' supply chains by further improving the efficiency of distribution throughout Europe and optimizing inventory.
