Nippon Suisan Kaisha, Ltd. (hereinafter called 'Nissui') has announced that together with 7 fisheries related companies (*) around the world, it participated in 'Keystone Dialog', non-disclosure session which was organized by Stockholm Resilience Center at Stockholm University in November (Doctor Johan Rockstrom, Executive Director) and is patronized by the Prince Victoria of Sweden (HRH Crown Princess Victoria) . Nissui decided to participate in 'SEAFOOD BUSINESS FOR OCEAN STEWARDSHIP' which was advocated at this session and subscribed on December 14, 2016.

The Prince Victoria is appointed as the global ambassador of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of United Nations.

'SEAFOOD BUSINESS FOR OCEAN STEWARDSHIP' is established to explore a path to achieve sustainable business activities which have mutual benefits among fisheries industry, human, and global environment collaborating with the leader of major global fisheries related companies and the scientists studying oceanic, fisheries and sustainability.

Nissui promoted management based on CSR in its current mid-term plan MVIP2017 and starts studying sustainable utilization and procurement of marine resources, which is a core of its business. By participating in this activities, Nissui will study conservation and sustainable utilization of marine resources explore the role of one of the leading fishery company.
