Nireus Aquaculture : We are cleaning up our beaches

Once again, the employees of Nireus have proven their awareness towards the environment by organizing the group action WE ARE CLEANING UP OUR BEACHES. This year and in cooperation with the Mesogeios SOS Network, volunteer action groups from Nireus are cleaning up, in conjunction with the local organizations, the sea coast areas of Lefkada, Chios, Astakos, Nafpaktos and Koropi.

This Group action is associated with the Goals number 14, 15 and 17 from the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addresses today's most important challenges. SDGs clearly define the world we want and apply to all nations, leaving no one behind.

Actions first began at the Lomvarda beach in Agia Marina on Friday 8 June!

During this effort, we were supported by the Municipality of Kropias via a minitruck along with two employees who assisted in gathering the waste.

In total, 13 employees from our headquarters participated in this cleanup event who collected 10 trash bags (6 bags with recycling materials and 4 with various others).

Similar events will be held at our branches.

We hope to raise the public's awareness and to primarily increase the sensitivity of the youth, a fact which will contribute, in the future, to cleaner beaches for our beautiful country!
