NIS representatives presented to the participants of the conference the achievements of the Company in the field of exploration and production in Serbia and the region, as well as the investment opportunities and activities of the NIS Group on the concession in the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). This expert meeting was also an opportunity to exchange experiences, present the latest achievements and regional projects in the field of oil exploration and production.

The conference was attended by nearly 200 representatives from 80 oil and gas companies. On behalf of NIS, the guests were greeted by Irek Khabipov, Director of the Exploration and Production, who spoke about the company's development and results in the exploration and production of oil and gas. In addition to interactive presentations and round tables, NIS organized a tour of the prospects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are considered promising for the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons.

NIS Group with around 11,000 workers engaged is one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies in South East Europe. NIS core activities are exploration, production and processing of oil and gas, sales of a wide range of oil and gas products, as well as realization of projects in the field of petrochemicals and energy. In the ​​exploration and production of oil and gas, NIS carries out activities in the territory of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Hungary and Angola. In Serbia, NIS owns a modern Oil Refinery in Pancevo. NIS Group operates a network of more than 420 petrol stations in the territory of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania. Representatives of NIS were also opened in Russia and Croatia, and NIS is the first Serbian company to open its office in Brussels.

In 2010, NIS participated with the Russian company 'Neftegazinkor' in the establishment of Jadran Naftagas company, which has a concession for the exploration and use of hydrocarbons (crude oil and gas) аt the territory of the Republic of Srpska. The concession agreement was concluded in 2011 between the company 'Jadran-Naftagas' LLC Banja Luka, as a concessionaire on the one side, and the Government of Republika Srpska - the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, as the concedent on the other. The concession was granted for a period of 28 years.

CEEC Scout Group (Central-Eastern Europe and Caspian Scout Group) is an association of oil and gas companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in the Caspian region. The aim of the Association is to exchange experiences and cooperate in the field of exploration and production of oil and gas. The Group was established in 1994 and currently has more than 80 members. The group's coordinator is the international consulting agency IHS Markit based in London.
