NiSource : Innovation – Dave Monte among the industry Top 40

Who says all the innovation happens in Silicon Valley? The energy industry is working hard to find better and safer ways to serve customers and communities.

One of our leaders, Dave Monte, senior vice president of safety, environmental & training, was named among the Top Forty Innovators by Public Utilities Fortnightly magazine.

The editors describe Dave as 'absolutely obsessive' about safety, and cite the work his teams have done to reduce distracted driving, to modernize our field operations training program, and to build four new state-of-the-art training centers across our footprint.

'I'm appreciative and humbled by the recognition,' said Dave. 'The recognition is a testament to, and reflection of, the team's hard work in positioning NiSource as an industry leader in safety and training. We have many more innovative programs on the horizon, and I'm excited to see how we continue to progress.'
