Dr. Kurt Gitter, an ophthalmologist in New Orleans, and his wife, Alice Yelen have been collecting Japanese arts for about forty years. The exhibition introduces about 100 masterpieces from a major collection represented by the greatest painters of the Edo period, including Tawaraya Sotatsu, Ito Jakuchu and Yosa Buson.
