LUKOIL COMPLETES WELL SIX AND BEGINS DRILLING WELL SEVEN AT FILANOVSKY FIELD

LUKOIL has completed construction of the sixth well, a water injector, at Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea and started to drill the seventh, a horizontal one, also a water injector. The first five wells, completed earlier, are producers.

At the same time, the company is mounting the topside of the accommodation block on the substructure as part of V. Filanovsky field Phase 2 development plan. The topside of the fixed offshore ice-resistant platform was installed earlier, in April.

It is expected that the Phase 2 construction and assembly operations will have been completed by the end of 2017. The average daily production exceeded 14 thousand tonnes of oil, as in June of 2017.

Vladimir Filanovsky field was put in operation in 2016. Its initial recoverable reserves equal 129 million tonnes of oil and 30 billion cubic meters of gas. The annual production rate at plateau phase is 6 million tonnes of oil. All the offshore facilities at LUKOIL's Caspian fields have been manufactured by Russian shipyards.
