LUKOIL PRESIDENT AND HEAD OF PERM TERRITORY DISCUSS COMPANY PROJECTS UNDERWAY IN THE REGION

Tuesday, March 14, 2017

As part of his working visit to Perm, LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov met today with the head of the region, Maxim Reshetnikov, and discussed the company's plans in the Perm Territory.

Mr. Reshetnikov had invited President Alekperov to attend the pre-delivery checkout testing of a liquid-fuel rocket engine, RD-276, built by PAO Proton-PM. The engine is a new addition to a series of engines manufactured in Perm and used successfully in the Proton-M launch vehicles to deploy the basic modules of the International Space Station.

Mr. Alekperov also assessed progress in the construction of a multifunctional office building for almost 800 research scientists of LUKOIL-Engineering, PermNIPIneft and of some services of LUKOIL-PERM. The four-storeyed building, some 17,000 square meters in area, is located close to Vasily Tatishchev Park, a landmark place for local people, so named after the founder of Perm. The building project, now nearing completion, was approved by the city council. Redevelopment experts expect the facade design of the new building to harmonize the general architectural pattern of this part of the city.

In addition, the LUKOIL President held a staff meeting with the heads of LUKOIL Group organizations in the Perm Territory to summarize the work undertaken in 2016 and map out plans for the future.
