NK Rosneft' : Rosneft and MMEZ-KT agreed on manufacturing and implementing composite materials in oil and gas production

As part of the XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and Moscow machine building experimental plant composite technologies (MMEZ-KT) concluded an agreement on cooperation to implement and use composite materials in the operational cycle of oil and gas production.

The agreement with MMEZ-KT provides for the production and testing of Russian-made composite pipe products at Rosneft facilities.

The use of composite materials for manufacturing casing pipes, utility networks for oil and gas transportation, tubing and coiled tubing will significantly improve the quality of work, as well as reduce production costs.

The Rosneft-2022 strategy, approved by the Rosneft Board of Directors, provides for the involvement of technological partners, both in production projects and in the service business and supporting industries.

In particular, together with domestic developers it is planned to use polymer and composite materials, produce casing pipes of different diameters from composite materials and use them in the fields of the Company.
