Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK has presented Norbert Dentressangle with an award acknowledging the organisation as one of the best logistics providers used by the Nissan Sunderland factory (NMUK) in the UK during the 2013 tax year, which ran from April 2013 to March 2014.

The award was presented on 21 May by Dave Christie, a member of Nissan Sunderland's logistics team, who travelled especially to the Norbert Dentressangle office in Bilbao, which is currently responsible for providing the service.

The service Norbert Dentressangle provides to Nissan Motor Manufacturing involves collecting parts from suppliers in Spain and Portugal and delivering them to the Nissan Sunderland factory in the UK.

The award is the direct result of Norbert Dentressangle's hard work, effort and commitment as one of the organisation's logistics partners, with the company having played, in the words of Nissan Motor Manufacturing, "a vital role in our success, helping the factory to launch three new models in 2013: LEAF, the new NOTE and QASHQAI".

Acknowledgement of performance

These annual logistics awards presented by Nissan Motor Manufacturing are an acknowledgement of logistics providers who have worked at a high level of performance over the previous twelve months and have demonstrated a positive attitude and flexible approach to their work with NMUK. Norbert Dentressangle provides a reliable supply chain that helps the Nissan Sunderland factory achieve its production targets every day.

In presenting this award, Nissan Motor Manufacturing wishes to acknowledge and thank everyone at Norbert Dentressangle for their commitment, flexibility and hard work in maintaining continuity of supply for its Nissan Sunderland factory (NMUK).
