Nordea Equity Research has taken the top spot in Thomson Reuters Analyst Awards (TRAA) 2016, ranking no 1 in the Nordics, followed by Danske Bank and Handelsbanken. The TRAA competition ranks analysts on estimate accuracy and recommendation return, and is regarded as a leading objective quality gauge in the equities industry.

'We are proud to lead the industry on forecast precision and alfa generation. The TRAA result confirms that we are on track with our ambition to deliver the leading Nordic research product to our clients,' says Global Head of Equity Research Thomas Winther Sørensen.

'This TRAA award adds to the recent no 1 rankings earned in client surveys from Prospera and Greenwich on 'overall product', 'case research', 'analyst speaking partners' and 'small/mid-cap'.
'Direct payment for equity research and advisory is on the rise, and we are determined to offer our clients the best one-stop shopping in the Nordics. Leading our region on both subjective client ratings and objective data quality puts us in a strong position to compete as the unbundled payment model gathers steam,' says Thomas Winther Sørensen.
